About Sensim Math

Sensim Math is a learning product that presents AMC problems not as simple answers and solutions, but through two dimensions of educational explanation:

1. Toolkit dimension — Polya's 4 stages (Understand · Plan · Execute · Review) + 17 thinking tools (draw a picture, find a pattern, reduce to a simpler problem, etc.)
2. CCSS dimension — which US public school grade and standard is sufficient to solve each problem

Why we built this

We wanted to challenge the idea that "AMC is only for 8th and 10th graders." In fact, there are quite a few AMC problems solvable with just 4th–5th grade standards. The minRequiredGrade shown on each problem proves this with data.

How we create solutions

We use authoritative existing solutions as grounding sources, then Claude Opus reinterprets them through the two dimensions above to write step-by-step solutions. Each solution is validated at build time using Zod schemas and business rules (answer consistency, grade consistency, CCSS DB lookup).
